Building Resilient Pagan Communities with Irene Glasse
Along with providing spiritual union, opportunities for magical development, and social connections, Pagan and metaphysical groups, covens, groves, and chapters face challenges from the outside. Our communities are targeted by extremist organizations seeking to recruit and antisocial individuals seeking power over others. Additionally, some Pagan groups use holdover practices that are inaccessible or unwelcoming to the very people we are most hoping to help. Explore tools and techniques for increasing accessibility, identifying red flags, building policies that make predation more challenging for those who seek to do harm, conflict resolution, and more.

We will have art supplies, snacks and whatever else we want to make of the space.
Daily Hand Drumming Intensive Classes with Pam Fleenor-Benton
Deepen your connection to your drum. Grow your skills for your community as a ritual drummer by learning the art of hand drumming. Grow your knowledge of your instrument and how it is played even if you have already been playing for awhile. The old drumming cultures have long known that the sound waves drums make will shape the water molecules in our bodies and change our brainwaves. This is why skill is important during ritual and it's important to learn the correct technique and how to play clear notes on our instruments. Come learn djembe technique and dunun (bass drum) patterns. We will study West African drum songs and explore the medicine within the structures of those songs. We will discuss this medicine and how it is beneficial to both the community and the drummer. AND we will have a lot of fun doing it! Ashikos, congas and bougarabous are also welcome. Classes build on material presented in previous days so please attend as many as you can but feel free to drop in any time during the week.

Deities, Discernment, and Managing Messages with Irene Glasse
It’s wonderful to see the spread of seership, mysticism, oracular work, and dedicant practices within the Pagan world. It’s also worth remembering that the tech – the protective structures and practices – around mystical work in the old world was largely destroyed. Once upon a time, cultures whose religious structures included seers had an entire system for keeping everyone reasonably safe. Explore tools and techniques for channeling accurate messages, hearing gods and spirits clearly, and protecting yourself from inner and outer interference.

Elagabalus, Trans Roman Emperor: Historical Propaganda or Trans Representation? with Channer Koeppe
From 218 to 222 A.D., Elagabalus (Eh-la-GAB-uh-luhs) ruled the Roman Empire from the age of 14 until their assassination at age 18. Quoted by Cassius Dio as saying, “Call me not Lord, for I am a Lady,” Elagabalus has been reclaimed as gay, gender non-conforming, and transgender through media portrayals including a short film, a video game, memes, video essays, and a museum’s usage of she/her pronouns. On the other hand, some researchers oppose this claim. They argue that Dio, the author of the main surviving record of Elagabalus, was their political opponent and wrote explicit propaganda of the emperor. Femininity, especially in men, was frowned upon in ancient Rome. Was Elagabalus expressing femininity because of a desire to be female, or was Cassius Dio writing propaganda by utilizing ancient Rome’s dislike for femininity? In this workshop, we’ll hold a friendly, safe, and inclusive discussion about the application of modern queer terminology and when it’s accurate to reframe figures of the past. Those of all knowledge levels are welcome! I will provide background information and, of course, be open to new and opposing perspectives.
Elves, Dwarves, and the Hidden Folk: Legendary Beings of Heathenry with Ash Glasse
The Heathen world is home to a wide variety of other-than-human creatures. These vibrant spirits have served as inspiration for writers of fiction and fantasy since the days of Tolkien. This workshop delves into Heathenry’s myths and folklore: dwarven smiths craft treasures for the gods and cause havoc for humans, spirits of place can make fortunes or bring death, and an entire parallel society dwells alongside our own. Learn ways to include these beings, seen and unseen, in your life and practice.
enCHANTment with Rev. River and Jasmine
Sacred chanting creates a visceral embodied prayer of, by, and for community. When we sing together, we vibrate together. Our hearts begin to beat in sync. We embrace the language of the spirit. We evoke and invoke the divine through our shared voices. Sacred chanting is not a performance. It does not require a trained voice. It is a communal opportunity to use your breath and body to connect. Whether you sing loudly or quietly, your voice has a place in the circle as we make magic and community together. Bonus: we will share the bones (the how-to) to take this practice home with you.
Entropy, Destruction, and Rebirth of the Sacred Self with Irene Glasse
As our beloved Mother Earth lives, grows, decays and sleeps only to be born again in the spring, so too do people pass through different lives during the course of their incarnation here. We grow and change, and sometimes the lives that we built for ourselves no longer fit. Sometimes the lives we built for ourselves are suddenly taken away from us. Bring yourself back into right relationship with your true nature, values and aspirations with this workshop. Learn techniques for planning your next phase, preparing for major life sculpting, releasing the broken pieces that no longer serve (or are no longer available to you), and beginning your next Fool’s Journey. Through ritual reconsecration, reconnect with your Sacred Self and step into the next phase of your life empowered, confident, and connected.

Planning a meaningful event for your community is exciting and a lot of work! Emergencies can throw an event off very quickly, but with a solid contingency plan, staff can respond quickly and confidently to minimize disruption in the event and keep your people safe. Let’s do some thoughtful planning about what’s needed to keep events safe.

Leadership can be contemporary while also deeply rooted in human history. This workshop explores these historic examples, what they mean in terms of skill-building and techniques, and how to create a leadership style that reflects our modern times while being firmly grounded in our history. We will focus on Heathen source materials, but the information is relevant regardless of spiritual path.

Ritual for Victims of Injustice with River
This ritual is born out of a desire to bring a measure of balance and justice for the victims of this and past administrations. It does have a strong political component, but it is directed towards the victims of any person in power (political, social, capital, faith leaders) who has used their power to harm others. We will not be limiting this ritual to one single political or religious organization, but rather targeting all hierarchical structures that perpetuate imbalance and injustice.

Salmon Run: Tellin' Stories and Laughin' with Friends with Piper Wixom
Inspired by the salmon run scene and the song “Welcome” from Brother Bear, this workshop centers on the moments that shape a year. People arrive each year carrying these moments with them. Some are joyful. Some are heavy. Some are made for tears, and others for laughter. Too often, there isn't time for all the stories to be told. There isn't space for all of the moments to be witnessed. Participants will gather in a storytelling circle. Soft “salmon” will be tossed through the circle, and (like the bears during the salmon run) whoever catches the "salmon" becomes the next voice to speak. Stories move organically, guided by chance, consent, and presence rather than any strict order. The length of individual stories may need to be limited to a few minutes, depending on the number of participants. This activity invites participants to share stories of love, loss, growth, laughter, and any other moments from our time apart.

Join us for a magical, hands-on workshop where creativity and spirit meet through the crafting of Spirit Figures and Creatures. Your creation may emerge as a doll, creature, protector, or otherworldly ally. This process invites you to listen to the whispers of your inner world and give form to hidden wisdom, archetypal energies, and spiritual connections. Along the way we’ll include moments of reflection, journaling, and optional sharing within the circle. Tending the Fire Within: Collaborative and Ethical Spiritual Care (PLI) with Rev. Casey
This workshop invites Pagan leaders into a collaborative, trauma-informed exploration of spiritual care. Grounded in the relational nature of Pagan ministry, participants will reflect on the sacred trust created when we are invited into others’ spiritual lives. Using The Fire Within as a guiding metaphor, this experiential session explores how to offer care with clarity, humility, and shared responsibility—supporting others without overreaching or taking over. Topics include boundaries, transparent communication, confidentiality, ethical discernment, and when legal responsibilities such as mandatory reporting may apply. Through discussion, reflection, and practice, leaders will gain tools for offering care that is grounded, sustainable, and supportive for both themselves and their communities.
The Power of Words with Ash Glasse
Words are one of the basic building blocks of a spiritual practice. Faith leaders often get called on to answer questions or impart messages about some of life’s biggest questions, and it’s also our job to help people make meaning of their own lives and experiences, and integrate their values and life philosophy into their everyday decisions and activities. We often don't talk a lot about these theological or philosophical concepts, though. This roundtable discussion will explore some ideas held by philosophers, theologians and/or people of faith about some of the big questions: “Who or what is/are ‘god’? “What happens when we die?” “Where did we come from before we were born?” “How do I know I'm being a ‘good’ person?” “Why is there suffering and pain in the world?” “Why did ____ happen to me?” Come ready to listen and share!

The fight continues and we are held in this circle of women as we mourn, release, celebrate our strengths and move forward with power and determination. If you are differently abled and need a chair for ritual, please bring one. Everyone will participate in this ritual. In preparation for this ritual, please visit the Crone Temple of Wisdom following Morning Meeting on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday to craft a personal symbol to be used in the ritual (Optional but strongly encouraged.)

Across races, lands, and generations, legends of the constellations have been traditionally passed down through oral storytelling. Let us connect with our ancestors' roots and explore stories of monsters, heroes, and parables through engaging and performative storytelling. This workshop will cover constellations visible during the summer night sky, which will be visible throughout the week of PSG.
