BARNEVELD, Wisconsin — December 7, 2017 — Circle Cemetery at Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve, near Barneveld, Wisconsin is proud to announce that, for the fifth year in a row, it will take part in Wreaths Across America. On Saturday, December 16, National Wreaths Across America Day, remembrance wreaths will be placed at the grave markers of deceased veterans at more than 1,200 locations across the nation and overseas, including on Veterans Ridge at Circle Cemetery. A public interfaith remembrance ceremony will be held at Circle Cemetery to ensure that the individuals who served to protect the freedoms of our country are not, and never will be, forgotten. "Remembering, honoring, and teaching about veterans continues to be an important part of the work of Circle Sanctuary and our national cemetery" said Cemetery Director, Selena Fox. "We are glad to be part of the Wreaths Across America program again this year."
Prior to the ceremony, at 1:15pm, Selena Fox will be presenting a workshop on Yuletide Wreaths, exploring ancient and contemporary traditions, and will have attendees take part in a community blessing of the wreaths for the 2pm Wreath Laying Procession and placement.
