Land Stewardship Nights

DSC 2804Come and join us on Thursday nights (weather permitting) from April through October, as we work to improve Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve's land!  We meet around 5PM and work until dusk, doing a range of land improvement projects including:

  • Brush clearing
  • Tree removal & firewood gathering
  • Prescribed burns
  • Planting prairie seeds
  • Trail & shrine maintenance

If you have tools such as a chain saw, brush cutters, loppers etc. available, feel free to bring them -- but they're not required.  Leather gloves are a good idea, as some of the invasive species we're removing are prickly.

This page will be updated by noon each Tuesday with the status for this week's land work, including any cancellations.  Feel free to join our Facebook group as well, for ongoing discussion of our plans.

If you have any questions about our Land Stewardship Nights, please contact Bob Paxton.  We look forward to seeing you there!
