Interfaith Awareness Week

iaw1Madison, Wisconsin & vicinity
all events free & open to the public

Circle Sanctuary is among the supporters of Wisconsin's Interfaith Awareness Week (IAW), which has been held annually since 1998.

IAW takes place each year during the week that includes December 10, Human Rights Day, which commemorates the signing of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights.

All IAW events are free and open to the public.

IAW’s main event is the Capitol Celebration held on one of the days at Noon in the Rotunda of the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison, Wisconsin. Over the years, Rev. Selena Fox, Senior Minister of Circle Sanctuary, has been among the speakers, and from time to time, some members of the Circle Sanctuary Community have been among the musical performers.

Each year, Interfaith Awareness Week includes an educational exhibit, "World Religions of Wisconsin," on public view in the Rotunda of the State Capitol. It includes displays contributed by a variety of religious traditions and communities. Circle Sanctuary coordinates the Pagan display, which includes images and information about Paganism, Yuletide, and Nature religion.

Interfaith Awareness Week also includes other events, including interfaith dialogue and open houses.
