Spiritual Support during COVID-19 Pandemic

winged-caduceus-v2Circle Sanctuary Spiritual Support
During COVID-19 Pandemic

Circle Sanctuary recognizes the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic, and is endeavoring to provide spiritual support to all affected.  This pandemic recognizes neither national nor religious boundaries, and we are grateful for those who provide support by tending to the ill, by helping to supply essential goods, and by lending aid to those who feel isolated and in distress.

In accordance with best practices regarding social distancing, we have cancelled in-person celebrations and gatherings until the danger has passed.  And yet the Wheel of the Year does turn, and we are finding and testing new ways to come together to celebrate and find solace in community through today's technology.

ICON

Crystal Rainbow Healing Caduceus
Symbol of Circle Sanctuary Spiritual Support Services

To those in need during COVID-19 Pandemic

The Caduceus is an ancient symbol.  In its Winged Form, the Caduceus is most often associated with Hermes, ancient Greek Winged Messenger God.  According to ancient lore, Hermes was gifted with his Caduceus wand by Apollo, Greek Sun God of Healing, Music, and Prophecy.  In Classical art, the Caduceus sometimes also is associated with the Greek Rainbow Goddess Iris, Divine Messenger of the Goddess Hera.

The Caduceus, with its two entwined snakes is different from the single snake entwined wand, the Rod of Asclepius, ancient Greek God of Medicine, Healthcare, and Healing Dreams.  The Rod of Asclepius is widely used around the world as an icon of the Medical profession, including as part of the logo of the World Health Organization (WHO) of the United Nations.

We have selected this Crystal Rainbow Healing Caduceus as a symbol of Circle Sanctuary’s Spiritual Support Services during the COVID-19 Pandemic.  A fabric art form crafted by Starlight of Starlight Color Magic circa 1995 is part of the collection of Selena Fox, senior minister and founder of Circle Sanctuary.

Our Crystal Rainbow Healing Caduceus symbolizes Circle Sanctuary’s Spiritual Support Services for those in need during the COVID-19 Pandemic.  Our version of the Caduceus is Winged, signifying our spiritual healing and wellness Messaging via social media, podcasts, videos, online gatherings, and live chat.  Its staff is formed by a human icon with upraised arms in seven rainbow chakra colors, from Root to Crown, representing Holistic Healing.  It is topped by a clear quartz crystal, symbol of Spiritual Balance, Resilience, Healing, and Wellness.

CONTRIBUTE TO CIRCLE SANCTUARY

Festivals held at Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve are an important part of our fundraising -- and for the near future at least, there will be none.  Please consider a generous contribution to help keep Circle going through this uncertain time, that we can continue to serve the local and worldwide community for many years to come.
