Celebrating the Seasons

Yule 2022

Yule Festival 2022 square-2

Yule 2022
December 17th, 2022

Jingle & Mingle

Join us as we honor not only the quiet time of the year but celebrate our community Yule!  Through reflection we will go within ourselves and our homes to reflect on all we’ve been through in this past year and to purge what no longer serves us.  Together, we’ll embrace the peace that comes from the darkness and stillness of the Winter Solstice, knowing that just around the corner we will all rise with renewed energy to the returning Sun.

9:30 AM: Open for Arrivals and Mingling
Resource shop open for Yule shopping.  Please bring donations of non-perishable food items to be donated to the local food pantry!

10 AM: Community Welcome Circle

10:30 AM: Saturnalia: Roman Pagan Origins of Christmas Customs with Rev. Selena Fox

Noon: Lunch
Please bring your own sack lunch to enjoy.  Water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and Wassail will be provided.

1 PM: Wreaths Across America Ceremony with Rev. Selena Fox
This ceremony is held in Circle’s Green Cemetery in conjunction with National Wreaths Across America Day, where wreath-laying ceremonies are held at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 2,500 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.

Reflections in the Temple Room
A time for introspection, to sit back, rest and withdraw, embracing the darkness to find peace and reflect and consider what next year may look like for you.  Bring your candles, journals, knitting, a book etc.

2:30 PM: Witch Bell Crafting
The spiritual meaning of bells can be that of beginnings and endings. The celebration of the Yule holiday is a time to clean your home creating a space free from any negative energy or memories which may have accumulated over the year past.  With intention, we will create Witch Bells to hang over your doors or door knobs to be used for warding off negative energy and bringing positive energy, protection, prosperity and good fortune to your home.
