Location: The address is 5354 Meadowvale Road, Barneveld, Wisconsin 53507, USA. Circle Sanctuary is about 25 miles west of Madison, on country roads between US Highway 18/151 and US Highway 14. Take your best route to one of these highways and follow the directions below depending on what direction you are coming from.
From MADISON and points East via US HIGHWAY 18/151:
Take Highway 18/151 South out of Madison and pass by the exits for Verona and Mt. Horeb. After passing by all the Mt. Horeb exits, look for a large green and white destination mileage sign that includes: Barneveld, 4 miles.
As you approach Barneveld, you will see a sign for County Highway K.
Turn Right onto the County K turnoff. At the end of this access road, turn Left (this is County highway ID) and follow the signs to stay on County K. As you head toward Barneveld, just before you reach it, you will see another County Highway K sign.
Turn Right and take County K North out of town for 4 miles.
At the 3 mile point along County K, you will pass over a small bridge. About a mile after the bridge, turn left at Ridgeview Road. Go .8 of a mile up Ridgeview and then turn right at the first township road, which is called Meadowvale Road.
Take Meadowvale Road .8 mile and turn left onto the gravel driveway at the small red and white sign with the fire number 5354. As you turn onto the gravel driveway, there will be cattle pens and a gray-sided metal shed which belong to a neighbor. Continue down this gravel driveway.
Arriving at Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve
Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve's gravel driveway goes along the edge of this neighboring property. Take this driveway through the open gate entrance and go slowly by the Wetlands on your left. Drive slowly and yield to any creatures that may be on or along the road. Go over the small bridge and continue up the drive to the upper parking lot by the Barn. Park there if there is room. Additional parking is in the lower parking lot to the East of the House.
After you have arrived and park, proceed to the remodeled part of the Barn - inside is our Assembly Hall, also known as the Temple Room, and our Cemetery offices.
Check in with Cemetery Staff. Additional directions will be given there to Circle Cemetery.
From the WEST via US HIGHWAY 18/151:
Take 18/151 North. About 5 miles past Ridgeway, take the Barneveld exit (turn left). Go through Barneveld and turn left at County K and take it North out of town. Then follow the rest of the directions described above.
From MADISON via US HIGHWAY 14:
Get on University Avenue, which is a main road through the University of Wisconsin. Take University Avenue west out of town where it becomes Highway 14. Take Highway 14 through Cross Plains, Black Earth, and Mazomanie. Please observe speed limits when passing through these towns. About three miles past Mazomanie, turn Left onto County highway K. An old white frame schoolhouse will be on your left as you turn onto County K.
Take county K about 5.4 miles and turn Right onto Pinnacle Road. Go down Pinnacle about .7 mile and turn Left at the first paved road on your left, which is Meadowvale Road. Go about .8 mile down Meadowvale until you come to an old mailbox on the left side of the road. Turn right at the gravel driveway near the gray-sided and blue-roofed shed and cattle pens, which belong to a neighbor. Follow the rest of the directions above for "Arriving at Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve."
From the WEST via US HIGHWAY 14:
