Celebrating Earth Day

Starting in 1970 and celebrated on April 22, Earth Day is commonly thought of as the birth of today's environmental movement. Organized by Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson, Earth Day is marked worldwide by gatherings, educational events, and lobbying efforts for environmental causes. As a church of Nature Spirituality, Circle Sanctuary has celebrated Earth Day with a free public event since 1990.
