Pagan Spirit Gathering 2012 Site
5/1 Site Update:
As we reported in March, Stonehouse Park has been in the process of amending their required Special Use Permit with Dekalb County, Illinois. Pagan Spirit Gathering Manager Sharon Stewart and others continue to be in frequent contact with a variety of local officials as well as neighbors and Stonehouse Park campground owners as part of the campground's zoning process.
Although the outcome of the campground's application for amending their existing zoning permit is not yet known, work also has begun on a special zoning permit that would allow Pagan Spirit Gathering to be held at Stonehouse Park this year even if zoning processes currently underway are not resolved this Summer. Circle Sanctuary is making contingency plans and continuing with preparations for holding Pagan Spirit Gathering 2012 at Stonehouse Park.
Stonehouse Park, near Earlville IL, is a historical re-enactment event site with 50 acres of level land that is great for camping and events! There is plenty of shaded camping! And for those of you with RV's or pop-up campers we should be able to accommodate electrical hook-ups for you too on site! And did I mention level ground? This event site is so level and laid out so nicely that you can literally see the whole camp and know what's going on everywhere! True Community camping at its best!
For PSG use, we will find very nice amenities! There is a very large 3 bay barn that has been renovated where we will hold indoor concerts! No more sitting in the sun for noon concerts! And no more hauling your chairs to the concerts there are plenty of picnic tables! There is a beautiful court yard for gathering right outside of the barn also.
The camp features a beautifully remodeled camp store with a wonderfully large deck great for sitting and chatting with friends or reading your favorite book! The camp store has phone service, wireless service, indoor restrooms and all the snacks and forgotten necessities you may need!
There is a wonderfully large shower house that has 3 showers stalls on both the men's and women's sides. There are also flush toilets here too! Behind the shower house is a large sink perfect for scrubbing dishes or clothes!
Attached to the shower house is covered pavilion that overlooks the wonderful swimming pond and sandy beach! Bring your rafts and lounge chairs and enjoy!
