Pagan Spirit Gathering 2010 Camp Zoe |
||
|
Camp Zoe was originally established in 1929 as a youth camp. Thousands of children attended camp there over its 57 year history until 1986 when the camp closed. Several years and owners later, Jimmy Tebeau (of the Missouri band "The Schwag") purchased the 330 acre property in the spring of 2004 and still lives there today. The 330 acre facility now offers a campground with concert stages in a natural amphitheater setting. Site capacity is currently 10,000. Exploring all the roads and camping areas of Zoe is an adventure in itself. Hiking the entire 330 acres along the gravel roads and stream can take all day. Zoe is set in a valley in the Ozark Region of Southern Central Missouri. There are bluffs, caves, beaches, creeks, trees, ferns, hills, and natural wildlife to see. Zoe is surrounded by thousands of acres of national forest and private timber reserves. Swimming is big-fun at Zoe in the summertime. There are many swimming holes and beaches along the one mile of spring-fed stream that runs through the property. Bring a swimming suit, towel, sun-screen, floaties, and whatever floats your boat.
