Military Chaplaincy Quest

As part of its ministry training program, Circle Sanctuary provides specialized training in military chaplaincy. Circle Sanctuary continues to work toward the goal of having a Wiccan/Pagan minister serve as a US military chaplain. In 1998, Circle Sanctuary became the first Wiccan church to apply for Department of Defense Ecclesiastical Endorsing Organization status. Our application was unanimously recommended for approval by the US Armed Forces Chaplains Board at the Pentagon, but remains pending.
