RE: Circle Sanctuary’s Emblem of Belief Application

To Whom It May Concern:

As National First Officer (President) of The Covenant of the Goddess (CoG), I am writing on behalf of our membership in support of Circle Sanctuary's application to include the Pentacle among the approved emblems of belief for Wiccan and other Pagan veterans. In light of recent changes to the application process, we have chosen to stand with Circle Sanctuary rather than submit a separate and redundant application to the National Cemetery Administration.

The Covenant of the Goddess is a California 501(c)3 corporation; a multi-national federation of Wiccan congregations with members in the United States and Canada. CoG was founded in 1975 to increase cooperation among Wiccans, participate in interfaith efforts, and to secure for Wiccans and our churches the recognition and protection enjoyed by other religions.

The Covenant is extremely proud of our members who are retired or active duty United States military service personnel and honor their service to our country both at home and abroad. As we have members serving in combat stations, having the Wiccan emblem of faith approved has become a critical issue. These members have overwhelmingly expressed their desire to have the Pentacle available to be inscribed on their government issued grave markers.

If you have any questions, please contact me by telephone, (505) 281-9631, email at cogfirst@cog.org, or via postal service: Kathryn Fuller, P. O. Box 892, Tijeras, NM 87059-0892

Sincerely,

THE COVENANT OF THE GODDESS

Kathryn Fuller
National First Officer
