Statement in Support of the Veteran Pentacle Quest
The Veteran Pentacle Quest is an issue I feel very deeply about, and support wholeheartedly. I come from a military family. But more importantly; I am a mentor and supporter for our active duty Pagan troops in the U.S. Military, our Pagan veterans, and their families. I see constantly how much our Pagan troops and veterans do to be responsible citizens in the U.S., putting their lives on the line in the military. And yes, we do have Fallen Pagan Military Heroes, and Honored Deceased Pagan Veterans. Yet the Federal Veterans Administration has consistently blocked approval of the Encircled Pentacle, as the chosen religious emblem of our Wiccan/Pagan troops and veterans for their military headstones. This goes against even the most basic respect for their service, and it also violates the Freedom of Religion guaranteed by our U.S. Constitution. Let us stand united in support of the Pentacle Quest for our U.S. troops and veterans.
