On July 4th, most Americans enjoy a day off from work, eat barbeque and watch fireworks. Roberta Stewart, a war widow since her husband was shot down from the skies of Afghanistan 9 months ago, has traveled to Washington, DC with a strong message for the President and the officials he appointed to oversee this matter at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.
“I must continue my quest for religious freedom before I can even begin to grieve”, says war widow Roberta Stewart. The widow of fallen Wiccan soldier Sgt. Patrick Stewart will bring her personal quest to President George W. Bush and VA officials on Independence Day at a Religious Freedom Rally in Farragut Square Park, Washington DC, just two blocks from the White House.
Roberta Stewart and activists from across the United States will be speaking between noon and 4 p.m., on America's birthday, the Fourth of July.
