| Jeremy Espil, now of Wisconsin and formerly of Nevada, served with Sgt. Patrick Stewart in Afghanistan and was his roommate and best friend. On September 25, 2008, the third anniversary of Pat's death, he visited Pat's VA issued pentacle gravestone at Circle Cemetery which marks the burial site of some of Pat's cremains. Jeremy and Circle Sanctuary senior minister Selena Fox remembered Pat in a short, private ceremony, that included the placement of a flower arrangement designed by Roberta Stewart, Pat's widow, the sounding of a bell 22 times by Selena, and the recounting of experiences and memories of Pat by Jeremy. |
