Update on Sgt. Stewart Freedom for All Faiths Memorial Day Service

The Sgt. Patrick Stewart Freedom for All Faiths Memorial Service and the Veteran Pentacle Quest is continuing to make national news.

Versions of the Associated Press article by Scott Sonner first released on Thursday, May 25 are increasingly being published on-line and in print. Today, it appeared on websites for USA Today, a national newspaper, and ABC News, a national television network. It has been published in several hundred media sources in the USA and worldwide.

Several thousand more people have taken part in the MSNBC on-line poll about the approval of the Wiccan Pentacle by the VA, and the approval percentage has been climbing. If you have not yet voted to support approval, there is still time. Go to: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12979620

Another article is out in the local press."Widow fights for Wiccan recognition on Memorial" is in today's Reno Gazette Journal and can be viewed at: http://www.rgj.com/news/printstory.php?id=110840

This article includes more details about the Sgt. Patrick Stewart Freedom for All Faiths Memorial Service, which will be held on Monday, May 29, beginning at 9:30 am in Fernley, Nevada at the Out of Town Park, a new site created to honor those who have died in service to this country.

Wiccans and other Pagans of many places and paths will be among those attending Monday's interfaith service. Rev. Selena Fox, High Priestess of Circle Sanctuary, will be among the speakers.

This Memorial Service is free and open to the public.

If you plan to attend, please arrive at least fifteen minutes early. Since the service is in the style of a Military Memorial, please be mannerly, observe respectful silence, and dress conservatively. You are welcome to wear Pentacle jewelry if you wish, but this is not required. Please do not wear ritual garb, and please do not bring any placards or other protest signs since this is a Memorial Service, not a demonstration or rally.

If you are not attending, please join in spirit. Thank you.
