Sgt. Stewart Memorial Service in National News

National media attention is growing on the Veteran Pentacle Quest!

This Quest is for the US Department of Veterans Affairs to approve the addition of the Wiccan emblem of belief, the Pentacle, to its list of emblems of belief for VA-issued headstones, markers, and plaques for deceased veterans.

Scott Sonner's Associated Press article, "For Wiccan Nevada Soldier, Death Brings Fight," is being picked up by newspapers, magazines, radio, television, internet and other news sources throughout the country and beyond.

The article focuses on the Veteran Pentacle Quest and the Sgt. Patrick Stewart Freedom for All Faiths Memorial Service being held in Fernley, Nevada on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29 at 9:30 am.

One version of the article is on-line at the CBS News site:

The article also is on-line at the websites of the Washington Post, New York Times, LA Times, and many other news media sites.

MSNBC's website includes not only the article, but an opinion poll: Should Veterans Affairs recognize the Wiccan symbol?
