Stewart-Reid Meeting in the News
The front page of today's Daily Sparks Tribune includes a photograph and report on Roberta Stewart's face-to-face meeting with Senator Harry Reid in Fernley, Nevada on Monday, April 17.
Senator Harry Reid, who is the Democratic leader of the US Senate, met with Roberta prior to his public speech at the Fernley Volunteer Fire Station.

The article reported that Roberta thanked Senator Reid for his support and asked for his continued help in urging the US Department of Veterans Affairs in finishing the approval of the Pentacle for inscription on government issued markers, plaques, and headstones for deceased veterans.
In the photo taken at Roberta's meeting with the Senator, he is shown reviewing materials she presented to him.
The article mentioned that Roberta told the Senator that she wants to have her late husband's memorial plaque with the Pentacle emblem of his belief on it at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in time for Memorial Day next month.
The article also reported that Rev. Selena Fox made this same request on Monday, April 17 during her hour-long telephone meeting with Under Secretary William Tuerk, the head of the VA's National Cemetery Administration in Washington, DC.
