Veteran Pentacle Quest Lawsuits & Website Updates
Here's the latest news about the Veteran Pentacle Quest:AU LAWSUIT UPDATE
Legal work continues in our lawsuit against the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in the federal district court in Madison, Wisconsin.
Yesterday, Monday, February 5, the process of discovery began in this lawsuit. Attorneys with Americans United for Separation of Church and State (AU) who are representing Circle Sanctuary and others in our case filed requests for documentation and interrogatories. The VA now has 30 days to respond.
ACLU LAWSUIT UPDATE
On Friday, February 2, a judge in the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims decided to that a three judge panel will hear oral arguments in the case against the VA brought by the ACLU, which is representing the Aquarian Tabernacle Church and others. No date has been set yet.
PENTACLE QUEST WEBSITE UPDATES
We have added new material to our Veteran Pentacle Quest website, including:
(1) CONCERNS about Proposed VA Procedures - we have included a summary of how to review and express concerns about problems with the VA's proposed procedures (VA-2007-NCA-008-001) for emblems of belief approval for memorial markers, headstones, and plaques it issues to honor deceased veterans:
