My first Sacred Fire Circle experience was in 2006 at the Forestdance held at Circle, and I too have found these to be transformative and intensely powerful experiences.

I've had other experiences where I have felt at once freed and supported, but never before outside the boundaries of a coven's painstakingly assembled trust. The shock for me every times is how quickly walls come down; how easy it becomes to give and to receive.

The Fire Circles, for me, are sacred love trips. Whatever you do, whoever you are, once you feel the rhythm of the energies you understand that you're first accepted, then honored, then loved - - and greatest of all, empowered to give that acceptance and honor and love back to those around you.

It's hard to talk about this without sounding loopy, like any number of little cults started up by Godstruck people. Here's the funny thing about this, though: there is no control, no hierarchy, neither master nor servant. All present serve each other equally, and when the event ends we go back into our own lives with spirits burnished bright.

It's rare in the magickal world to find events which are at once as deeply connecting as this...and as deeply respectful of each individual who sets foot in the circle. "Every Man and Every Woman is a Star."
