    10 am Open for Arrivals
    10:30 am Welcome
    Executive Director Selena Fox gives an introduction to Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve and also speaks about the importance of Earth Day celebrations in increasing environmental awareness and actions.
    11 am Natural History of Turkey Vultures
    Wildlife biologists Mike Mossman and Lisa Hartman present the Natural History of Turkey Vultures, based on their experiences studying and marking them in the Baraboo Hills and throughout Wisconsin. In addition to this presentation of the biology, legends and lore of the Turkey Vulture, visitors will have the opportunity to meet our tame, non-releaseable Turkey Vulture, Uncle Butzie.

    12:30 - 1:15 pm Environmental Expressions
    1:30 pm EAB: Coming Soon to a Tree Near You?
    Presentation by Anna Willow about the history of the emerald ash borer (EAB) in North America, EAB biology and life-cycle, and how to identify and prepare for this destructive tree pest. Anna Willow is a cultural anthropologist and environmental educator. She has done research on Ojibwe anti-clearcutting activism in Northwestern Ontario in Canada and has worked with tribes in Northern Wisconsin to document the traditional cultural importance of natural sites. She is currently a lecturer at UW-Madison and an invasive species planner for the Dane County Land and Water Resources Department.
    2:30 pm Earth Day Ceremony
    Celebrate our connections with the Circle of Nature with words, meditation and music. Includes songs by Celtic bard Michael Doran and bagpiping by Laura Moy.
    3:30 pm Prairie Burn
    Join Reed Cockrell in a restorative burn of Circle Sanctuary's restored prairie.
    5 pm Potluck Feast
    6 pm Cleanup and farewells
