Earth Day Festival

near Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin
Registration and Information
Registration for the Earth Day programming is free and open to the public.
Donations are welcome but not required. Any proceeds received will benefit the Nature preservation work of Circle Sanctuary and are tax deductible.

What to Bring:
- Potluck dish for snack times
- Stone or rock to leave at the Stone Circle (optional)
- Drum, rattle, or other rhythm instrument for the ceremony (optional)
- Comfortable & sturdy shoes for Nature walks

| 10:30am-11:00am | Welcome & Wild Crafted Herb Teas Tasting: Selena Fox introduces some wild plants that can be used for herbal tea making. |
| 11:00am-noon | Crafting for Kids: Enjoy wildlife crafting with Peggy in the Summer Kitchen. |
| 11:00am-noon | Nature Mapping: Erin LaFaive who has a BS in Geography and MS in Environmental Studies will teach about Nature Mapping; a biodiversity survey program that allows anyone to enter wildlife observations into a statewide database for natural resource management, scientific studies, and environmental education. This training will teach you how to become a registered Wisconsin Nature Mapper. |

| 12:30 - 2 pm | Earth Day Ceremony & Prairie Burn: Selena Fox and Circle Sanctuary Community Members will lead an Earth Day Ceremony at Stone Circle. Followed by Naturalist Reed Cockrell leading a rejuvenating burn of our restored prairie. |

| 2:30 - 4 pm | Wildlife Rehabilitation Presentation: Richard Hibma, a Rehabilitator from Ridgeway, will talk about what raptors are doing to celebrate spring. Who's making nests, when to expect new fledglings in the air and what we can do to support these gorgeous birds. |
