Bluebird Preservation by Florence Edwards-Miller
Join Florence for an interactive seminar on one of the oldest North American symbols of spring - the bluebird. Bluebirds have a special place in native and colonial American folklore and used to be one of the most common eastern birds. Now their survival is threatened by habitat loss and invasive species. Learn what you can do to help save the bluebirds and about bluebird conservation at the Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve. Concludes with a nest-box dedication for the Circle bluebird trail. |

Join in a sharing of some memories of 40 years of Earth Day celebrations and environmental work. As part of this discussion, Selena Fox will talk about her work with the first Earth Day, on April 22, 1970 which included organizing an environmental teach-in at the College of William & Mary where she was doing undergraduate studies. |
